Beverly Jean Born (Madsen) was born on January 26, 1931 to Lillian and Richard Madsen, “the best parents I could have asked for”. She left us on September 29, 2018. Bev will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Bev was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. Bev and her family were congregants of Park Baptist Church, where she and her sister, Betty, were baptized.
After graduation Bev worked at the Veteran’s Hospital in St. Paul, where she met her future husband, Clinton Arthur Born.
Bev and Clint were married in 1958, and soon after, purchased their first home in Bloomington, MN. On May 2, 1961, Bev and Clint welcomed their only, and cherished son, Richard Born. After the birth of their son, Bev left her career to take on her greatest role, motherhood. She devoted her life to her new family, never doubting it was her greatest calling.
The Born family, also made homes of Des Moines, IA, and Fargo, ND. In 1988, Bev and Clint moved back to Bloomington, MN. They made their final move, to Wayzata, MN, where Bev spent her final twenty-three years.
Bev gave special meaning to the word “mom”, “grandma”, “aunt”, “sister”, and “friend”. She was especially proud of her son, Rick, her grandchildren, Cameron, and Victoria.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Clint; sister, Betty; and her parents. Bev is survived by her son, Rick (Tracey); her grandson, Cameron; granddaughter, Tori, step-grandchildren, Kohner and Shelton; nephew, James Schnebelen; nieces, Judy Pouliot (Mike) and Joan Freer, as well as many sister-in-laws, brother-in laws, nieces and nephews-in law, and extended Born family members.
Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at Wayzata Community Church, 125 Wayzata Blvd E., Wayzata, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
