Judi Ann Parks, age 73, of Wayzata, passed away January 18, 2019. Judi is survived by Mike, her husband of 46 years; sisters Donna Mauk and Jane (Dave) VanFosson; sisters-in-law Pat (Don) Donschescki and Pam (Lyle) Mayberry and brothers-in-law Richard (Jody) Parks and Brett Parks; daughters Stacie Jarvey and Stephanie (Scott) Robinson and son Tom (Ann) Myers; grandchildren Jack Jarvey, Trevor Ensrud and Levi (Gina) Ensrud and Katherine Myers and Michael Myers; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Gladys Nissly, brother Harold Nissly Jr., sister-in-law Jan Nissly and brother-in-law Marvin Mauk, and Dennis Brown.
Judi was born in Des Moines, Iowa and grew up in nearby Dallas Center. She moved to the Minneapolis / St. Paul suburbs with Mike to raise their family and lived in Coon Rapids, Forest Lake, Edina and Wayzata.
Judi had a gift for design. Her stylish and comfortable home was always inviting for family and guests. She used her design skills during a long career at Room & Board, where she contributed in store management, layout and expansion.
Judi found great joy in her family, and was always helping one of her kids or grandkids with a project or making a celebration extra-special. She loved gardening, sailing, music, trivia and her annual trip with Mike to St. George Island in Florida.
Please join the family in a celebration of Judi’s life on Saturday, January 26 visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with a light lunch served following. Memorials are preferred to Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners (IOCP).
