1/6/1961 – 1/7/2020
Age 59, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus on January 7, after a courageous battle with a rare form of brain cancer. Kraig was a gentle, patient, thoughtful and humble man of faith who adored his wife, Sandy. They had an incredible life together which they knew was a gift from God. Together they were blessed with two beautiful children, Cody and Callie (Kirk) who added more joy and love to their lives. Also survived by parents, Tim and Ruth, and sister, Kari (Brian) Borgman. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith. Kraig was a skilled carpenter who began his career in new home construction, and in later years, remodeling. Kraig enjoyed the simple things in life: work, a strong cup of coffee, star gazing on Ten Mile Lake and spending time with friends and family. His unwavering faith in God gave him the hope and assurance of eternal life.
Special thanks to his excellent care teams: Mayo Clinic, Dr. Richard Peterson and N.C. Little Hospice. Also, a big thanks to friends and family who supported us in every way. Lastly, we are forever grateful to his private nurse and angel, Chris.
Memorial service will be held at Cross of Glory Church, 4600 Shady Oak Road, in Hopkins, on Saturday, January 11, at 11 am, with visitation one hour prior. Memorials may be directed to N.C. Little Hospice or Cross of Glory Church.
