Age 85. A beautiful, gentle, loving spirit. Marv’s faith and life rested in God and his love was in his family and friends.
Marv was born August 12, 1934 in Holdingford, MN and left this earth, October 29, 2019. He resided in Wayzata, MN for 46 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Olive Muyres and brother-in-law, James Kritzeck. Survived by wife of 58 years, Lois (nee Kritzeck); daughters, Jennifer Palmer (Mitchell) and Julie McBride (Jayme) and grandchildren, Nicholas and Benjamin (Palmer) and Riley, Brady, and Casey (McBride).
Marv graduated from Holdingford High School and St. Cloud State University with a graduate degree from University of Minnesota, Duluth. He was an art teacher at Minnetonka High School for 30 years and a member of the Wayzata Yacht Club.
He was a loving husband, father and “Grampy”. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman with a strong work ethic. His passions were sailing, hunting, a love for the arts, and he always had an open heart for those in need.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata with visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Bartholomew or Interfaith Outreach.
