Randi A. Cornett

Cornett, Randi A (Falk, Daley, Strusinski) age 72 of Wayzata passed away on July 20, 2019 after a courageous fight to live.  Randi was a wonderful mother, friend, sister, wife and daughter.  She loved to teach others, deeply enjoyed nature and was a gifted athlete – she especially excelled at swimming and, as a youth, was recruited for Olympic training.  Randi found joy in giving to/helping friends, family & strangers alike, imparting wisdom and spending time with her large family.  She was a dedicated employee and retired from Medtronic.  On August 7th, 2014 she was given the gift of new lungs and worked tirelessly thereafter to be well.  Our Mother was a true warrior.  Always go forward and never turn back.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erling & Ruth Falk; sister, Karen Belinsky; brother, Kevin Falk; spouse, Mike Strusinski; and spouse, Paul Cornett.  She is survived by Pat Daley, her adoring children, Kevin (Amy) Daley and Flannery Daley; loving grandchildren, Josh Schectman, McNamara Daley and Randi Ruth Daley; sisters, Kristi Schuppert, Reidun Atkinson and Kaja MacDonnell; brother, Thor Falk; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.

Special thanks to the U of MN Transplant team (especially Bobbi Lindgren) and Randi’s Recovery Rangers – Lynn Rivers, Dick & Berta Schmidt, Sara Wyatt and Anne Klein.  You helped give us almost 5 extra years with our mother and we are forever thankful.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:00 with the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (formerly Minnetonka Lutheran),16023 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka, MN 5534,with reception to immediately follow.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Mound MN.
