Valerie Louise (Klun) Reek

Reek, Valerie (Swanson) 87 passed away the 23rd of January.  Born in 1932 in Crosby, MN, she moved to Minneapolis with her family and grew up as an active member of Central Lutheran Church. She graduated valedictorian of Central High School's class of 1950. She was known for her quick wit, artistic talent, limitless generosity, and her expert skills as a seamstress.  Valerie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.  She is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Klun; her mother, Gertrude Johnson (Onstrom); her brother, Ross Swanson; her husband of 52 years, Orlyn; and her son, Bradley.  She is survived by her brother, Jerome (Mary) Swanson; her daughter, Laurel  (Randy) Tucker, her daughter, Sherrell McCoskey, and her grandchildren, Derek, Angelene (Isaiah), Kaitlin and Callie.  Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.  Visitation at 9:30 a.m. and service at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd E, Wayzata.
