Virginia E. (Brooks) Jansen

of Minnetonka, passed away with her daughters and son-in-law by her side on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the age of 101 years. 
Virginia was a 20 year employee of Northwestern National Life Insurance Company up until the time she married in 1955.  She then spent her time as a wife and homemaker, raising her two daughters.  She was a 60 plus year member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Wayzata.  She is preceded in death by husband, Fred and sister, Jeannette Brown.  Survived by dear daughters, Patricia (Les) Kowal and Judith Grider; four loving grandchildren, Christina (Adam) Fiereck, Daniel (Cheryl) Grider, Michelle (Ryan) Seiler and Richard (Stephanie) Grider; step grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel) Kowal, Nathan (Betty) Kowal, Luke Kowal (Stacey Carpenter), Rachel (Cody) Dykhoff; great-grandchildren Logan and Kora Fiereck, Mikala, Becca and Caleb Grider, Ashlynn, Braden and Cailey Seiler; step great-grandchildren, Donovan Kowal, Sage and Creed Kowal, Riley Dykoff; expectant great-grandchildren, Baby Grider and Baby Kowal.  
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 5-7 PM with a rosary at 7 PM at The Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM, also at The Church  of St. Bartholomew.  Reception to follow. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minneapolis.
