Aaron Giroir Obituary
Giroir, Aaron A. Passed away on March 15, 2006, at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bernice; brother, Carl of Metarie, LA. He is also loved and will be dearly missed by daughter Cathy Flynn and husband Mike, of Naples, FL; daughter, Carol Hanson and husband Keith, of East Bethel, MN; daughter Christine Phillipps and husband Scott, of Liberty, NC; daughter Cari Van Rossum and husband Kevin, of Lake Crystal, MN; grandchildren Robb, Tim, Brian, Catherine, Janice, Tom (and wife Paula), Joshua, Katie, Joey and Aaron; and great-grandchildren Joseph and Kameron. He was a United States Marine and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was an accomplished musician and performed with the New Orleans Police Band as well as directing and performing with his own dance band in New Orleans. He was also a member of the Joe Richman Orchestra in Dallas, TX. In Minneapolis, he played with the Minneapolis Police Band, the Bell Tones, and numerous other orchestras and dance bands. He was a valued employee of General Mills. His career with General Mills began in New Orleans and was completed in Minneapolis after 38 years. He assisted in the creation of the Coupon Fraud Division of General Mills and was a member of the American Society for Industrial Security. Visitation 5-7 PM Sunday at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN 952-473-5577. A private service will be held. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery.
