Obituary

Alice Pasnau Obituary Pasnau, Alice Eleanor (Hunter) died December 16, 2005 as a result of the complications of a rapidly progressive form of dementia. Alice had fun no matter what she was doing. The only things in life that she took seriously were the responsibilities of being a wife and parent. She always did what needed to be done to provide an environment for her children to be happy and successful; Scout leader, PTA president, driver to piano lessons, chauffeur to, supporter of, and cheerleader for all their activities. Alice is survived by her husband, John and those three wonderful people and their families: Robert Pasnau, wife Kim, and grandchildren Anna and Tommy of Boulder; Sara Ahlquist, husband Erik, and grandchildren Hunter, Anne, and Samuel of Minnetonka; David Pasnau and fiancee Joanna Guajardo of Chicago. Alice was born and raised in New Castle, Indiana. After graduation from the Indiana University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Alice moved to Chicago where she met John Pasnau who would become her best friend, partner, husband, and life long mate. They enjoyed all aspects of life together even including the two corporate relocations that occurred while Alice was pregnant. She loved the game of golf. The big A could always hit the ball. She treasure her many friends in the golfing community at Wayzata Country Club, where she was runner up club champ on several occasions. Alice served as golf chairman and a member of the board of directors. She also loved her piano, but played only for her own enjoyment. Alice liked everyone she ever met. The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the phenomenal staff in the garden terrace at the Texas Terrace Care Center for their loving care over the past 29 months. A light hearted and joyful memorial service will be held at the Wayzata Community Church on January 6 at 3 PM. Memorials in her memory may be sent to Alzheimer's Research c/o Dr. Ronald Peterson at the Mayo Clinic, 200 first Ave SW, Rochester, MN 55405
