Ann Dietz Obituary Dietz, Ann Rose (Notermann) Ann Rose Dietz, 86, of Wayzata, passed away peacefully September 3, 2012 surrounded by family at Hennepin County Medical Center. Ann Rose is survived by her husband of 64 years, George and children, John (Jayne) Dietz of Elk River, Mary (Paul) Barthel of Otsego, Georgia Dietz of St. Paul, Joan (Jim) Tidball of Wichita, KS, Fran (Jerry) Deziel of Lakeville, Susan (Charlie) Danielson of Edina, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ann Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertrude Notermann, daughter Rosemary and six brothers and sisters. She grew up in Victoria, MN and graduated from Guardian Angels High School in Chaska. She went on to earn a music degree at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN in 1947. After college, she taught Latin and music in Springfield, MN. Music was her passion. She was a gifted pianist and was the organist at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Elk River for nearly 30 years. She enjoyed golf, bowling and crossword puzzles, but most of all she was devoted to her family. She was a very humble wife and mother that always put others needs ahead of her own. She appreciated the small things in life like birds, flowers, and dessert. Visitation for Ann Rose will be held Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral mass will be held at noon followed by lunch. A private burial service will take place at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Immaculate Heart of Mary School.
