Annette Olson Obituary Longtime Golden Valley resident, Annette Olson, died in Alexandria, Minnesota, on Friday January 18, 2013, at age 93 after a long battle with Alzheimers-type dementia. Annette was born in Ada, Minnesota, on March 15, 1919. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1937; attended Mankato State College; and taught grade school for several years before marrying Fred in 1943. She and Fred spent many happy years at their home in Golden Valley, making frequent visits to beautiful Crane Lake, Little Pine Lake, and Alexandria in northern Minnesota. Kind and loving, Annettes life revolved around God and family. She always had time for us. Preceded in death by husband Fred, parents Helen and Carl Carlson, brother Harvey, and infant son. Annette is survived by daughters Karen (Richard) and Barbara (Marc), grandchildren Justin and Kara, brother Jim, and nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the Knute Nelson Pines staff for their excellent care these past five years. Memorial service 11AM Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Saint Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth, 55447 with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
