Arthur Elfring Obituary
Elfring, Art C. Arthur passed June 30th after suffering from Alzheimer's for several years. He will be missed by his wife, Thelma; daughters Sally (Robert Braun) Van Dyke and Rosemary Zima; grandson, Richard Van Dyke, great-granddaughter, Alyssa Van Dyke; sister, Ruth Rush, as well as nieces and nephews. During WWII he served with the 51st General Hospital stationed in New Guinea and Manila. He enjoyed attending his army reunions and hosted one reunion in Minneapolis. He was an educator and communicator all his life. He taught high school in Michigan and California, was a college professor in Wisconsin and New York. He also accepted an administrative position as an English Curriculum specialist for Robbinsdale Area Schools. Memorial service 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata (1220 E Wayzata Blvd) Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
