Astri Flugeim Obituary Flugeim, Astri age 87 of Minnetonka died peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2008 at North Residential Hospice after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill (Wilhelm) and brother, Helge. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ragnhild Eik Lovland; nephew, Harold Lovland; niece, Bente Lovland Manheim all of Oslo, Norway as well as other loving friends in Minnesota and Arizona. Astri was born and raised in Norway. She attended the University of Oslo and came to the United States in 1952. Astri became a Physical Education Teacher in the Robbinsdale School District and retired in 1982. She was athletic and enjoyed all kinds of sports, including golfing, skiing, sailing and most of all walking. Astri also enjoyed reading and was an expert at handywork. She made beautiful area rugs and was very good at needlepoint. She will be missed by her relatives in Norway and her friends here at home.
