Barbara Frank Obituary Frank, Barbara Mitchell Age 62 of Wayzata passed away on August 21, 2018. Preceded in death by father, Gerald Mitchell Sr., and sister, Susan Mitchell Frank. Survived by mother, Marilyn Mitchell; siblings, Terri Veneziani (Rodrigo), Jerry Mitchell Jr. (Christy), Jean Mitchell (Steve), Mark Mitchell (Michele) and Amy Mitchell (Cheri). A fun-loving aunt to 10 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Barb was an incredibly caring and selfless person and always the first to help a family member in need, often changing her life to help. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her four sisters on trips to Florida, Brazil and cruises across the world. Her passion and caring for animals of all kinds was second to none. She was philanthropic to many animal organizations. Incredibly smart and an avid reader, her sharp wit and fun-loving humor entertained all. She held a successful career in sales for over 20 years before retiring and focusing her energy on her dogs and cats, which she treated like children. Other passions include painting and drawing, long walks with her dogs, swimming in oceans, lakes and pools, and spending time with extended family, especially during holiday celebrations. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Animal Humane Society, 845 Meadow Lane North, Golden Valley, MN 55422. Memorial service 10 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, with visitation one half hour prior to the service.
