Barbara Sweatt Obituary Sweatt, Barbara Warmee, of Wayzata, MN, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2013 in the loving presence of her daughters, Sandra Sweatt Hull of Minneapolis and Nancy Wilson Sweatt of Kailua-Kona, HI, and her brother, Byron Kahrs Varme of Houston, TX. Grandson Bennett McKain Hull was on his way to say good bye. Barbara was pre-deceased by her former husband, Charles B. Sweatt, Jr. and her long term fianc of 18 years, James E. Pearson.
Barbara was born in New York City, May 17, 1929. Her family moved to Minneapolis in 1940. She graduated from Southwest High School and attended Fairfax Hall, VA and Briarcliff Manor, NY.
She was active in the Wayzata and Lake Minnetonka Garden Clubs, member of Junior League, the Minnesota Dance Theatre, served as Co-Chairman of the Minneapolis Symphony Ball, member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild in New York, and a member of Woodhill Country Club for 50 years.
A Celebration of Life for Barbara to be held in May. Memorials can be made to the Foundation for International Freedom (www.intlfreedom.org) or donors choice.
