Betty Knoblauch Obituary
Knoblauch, Betty Hays Betsy Age 92, died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Preceded in death by brother, Arthur D. Hays, and son-in-law, C. Morgan Aldrich, Jr. Survived by son, Henry K. Knoblauch, Jr. (Linda); grandchildren, Julie Burnham (Paul), and Henry Knoblauch II (Kippy); great-grandchildren, Laney and Jacy of Bemidji; daughter, Nancy Aldrich, grandchildren, Betsy and Mark Aldrich of Wayzata; son, David Knoblauch (Suzy Woodrich) of Minnetonka; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews in the Hays and Carling families; and Dudley. Betsy graduated from the University of Minnesota, was a proud member of the Alpha Phi sorority, worked at Marion Nellermoe in Wayzata, served on the Abbott Northwestern Auxiliary Board, and supported the MWGA for over 70 years. She enjoyed sailing, was a passionate golfer who competed in the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1935, and an avid traveler who visited countries on six continents. Betsy was known for her competitive spirit on the golf course, her quick wit and lively sense of humor, and her generous love of family. Her family and friends cherish memories of time spent with her at Gull Lake, Encampment Forest, Bemidji, and Alexandria in MN, and Naples and Port St. Lucie in FL. The family is extremely grateful for the loving care given to Betsy for the last five years at Epoch Assisted Living, and especially to devoted friend Judy Jacobsen who helped the family care for her in her final peaceful hours. Interment Thursday at 9:30 AM, Lakewood Cemetery; Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, Westminster Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Abbott Northwestern Hospital or Westminster Presbyterian Church. Betty, Betsy, Mumsie, Mother, Lady, Aunt Betty, Grandma Betsy, Grammie - our gracious matriarch, we are thankful for your inspiring influence in our lives.
