Betty Mayer Obituary Mayer, Betty Caroline (Johnson) age 86 of Minnetonka, loving wife, mother and grandmother became our Christmas Angel Sunday, December 24, 2017. Survived by her husband of 67 years John (Jack), and their children, Anita (Paul) Stewart, Annette (Russ) Keppel, Denise "Dedi" (Pat) Wurm, Amy (Jon) Peterson, Paula (Dave) Beaner; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson due in January; sister Margie Yeager as well as other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Gunhild and Charlie Bill Johnson; 4 brothers; 4 sisters and 1 grandson. Betty grew up in Deephaven with Scandinavian parents. She volunteered many years at North Memorial Hospital and her churches. Memorial service 1 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Masonic Cancer Center or the American Heart Association.
