Betty Swanson Obituary Swanson, Betty J. Beck Died on March 30, 2008. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on March 23, 1927. Betty was preceded in death by husband, Robert Swanson, and parents, William James and Josephine Beck. Survived by her loving children, Andrea Swanson, William Swanson, Mary Senneka (Skip), Judy Hlina (Paul), Joanne Wald; grandchildren, Chelsea and Rachel Wald, Ben and Matt Hlina, Jessie and Sam Senneka; sister, Margaret Beck Newport; sister-in-law, Janice Post (Arthur); nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Betty celebrated life through her family, her music, and her love for this beautiful planet.
