Bob Ryan Obituary Ryan, Robert Clair Bob Age 76, of Wayzata, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 quietly at home surrounded by his loving family. Born October 6, 1931 in Huron, SD. Survived by wife of 56 years, Ellen (Keran); 7 children, Cheryl Ann Ganci (Rick), Robert C. II (Jan), Thomas J. (Suzanne), Sue Lantto (Orville), Julianne Ortman (Ray), Molly Sprinkel (Todd), and William Keran (Kimberly); honorary son, Marv Wachendorf (Betty) of Ingram, TX; 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Ricky Ganci (Marissa) of Brookings, SD, Rae Ganci of Madison, WI, Robert C. Ryan III (Amanda with children Robert C. IV and Broderick), Patrick A. Ryan, Matthew C. Ryan, Mackenzie A. Ryan of Salem, OR, Thomas J. Ryan Jr. of Arlington, VA, Joseph W. Ryan, Margaret A. Ryan, Raymond III, Ellie, William and Sam Ortman, Gen, Katey and Max Lantto, Jonah, Luke, Caleb and Moriah Sprinkel, Jonathan and Benjamin Ryan; brother, Jim Schleisman; sisters, Jean Roach (Jack) and Colleen Andersen. Preceded in death by beloved aunt, Mary Ann Gillespie of Sioux Falls, SD; grandson, Richard Anthony Ganci; mother, Evelyn Schleisman and father, Fidelis R. Ryan. Serving in the Korean War, he earned the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars and Meritorious Unit Commendation. Bob was an Auto Dealer in Minneapolis and Buffalo, MN, Houston, TX and Sioux Falls, SD for over 50 years. He loved cars: restoring, collecting, and racing (midget and mile dirt track) recently and in the 1950s drove car #3020 to win the Minnesota State Fair as Rosie Ryan""! He enjoyed deep- sea fishing and boating in Marco Island, FL as well as his horses in Story, WY. Private Irish Wake at the family home followed by 10:00 a.m. Mass, Thursday, May 29th at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Medina. Visitation one hour prior to Mass.
