Bradley II Obituary of Naples, FL passed away peacefully on December 23rd, 2013 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Johnson Bowman. The only child of Frank William Bowman and Vera Meneilley Bowman, Bradley grew up on Pillsbury Avenue in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis, spending summers with his mother's family in Oakville, Ontario. He attended Blake School in Hopkins, MN, graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, PA ('38) and Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH ('42). Upon graduation, he proudly served his country during WWII starting flight training at Wold-Chamberlain Field (MSP) finishing at the Naval Airbase in Corpus Christi, TX. He was honorably discharged as "Captain" from the United States Marine Corps piloting a land-variant OS2U Kingfisher aircraft providing convoy protection and anti-submarine patrols in the BVI, as well as serving in the Pacific Theatre. An independent investment adviser, he was a member of The Naples Yacht Club, Woodhill Country Club and The Minneapolis Club. A Viking fan to the end, he delighted in organizing tickets for friends and his yearly Super Bowl party. He is survived by his three children, Sarah, Mimi (Ben), Brad (Serena) and six grandchildren, Philip, Austin, Andrew, Clayton, Katherine and Alexandra; and cherished friends. His family would like to thank his doctors, hospice nurses and caregivers. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 at The Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 36th and Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis.
