Obituary

Bridgette Clare O'Brien (nee Catino), 41, of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, after a 6-year battle with Stage IV colon cancer. Bridgette was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, and cherished friend. Bridgette lived life to the fullest, with strength, grit, determination, and positivity. She faced her challenges with courage, dignity, and grace. Her vibrant spirit, infectious smile, and kind heart touched all who knew her, and her absence leaves an unimaginable void in our lives.

Bridgette was born in Bridgeport, CT and was raised in Maple Grove, MN. Bridgette graduated high school from Benilde St. Margaret's in 2003 where she was a member of the high school dance team. She then went onto college at Fordham University (Bronx, NY) earning a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum lade, in Communications and continued her passion for dance as a member of the University's dance team and a member of the University's Expressions Dance Alliance

Bridgette had a successful career in marketing where she worked for CBS Corporation, Bausch + Lomb, and IDOC. Prior to her passing, Bridgette was the Global Director of Brand and Customer Experience at CPC and was a member of the executive leadership team. At a time when many struggled to find a work/life balance, Bridgette was successful in obtaining that balance and dedicating herself to her husband and sons.

Bridgette is survived by her husband, Gregory O'Brien (married on September 29, 2012) and her beautiful boys, Thomas and Joseph. Bridgette is also survived by her mother, Mary Catino (nee McGrath); siblings, Johannah and Reed, and nephews, Anthony, Matteo, Archie, Wyatt, Logan and niece, Etta.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Sabino Catino and father, Anthony Catino, as well as her maternal grandparents, John and Mary McGrath.

She is loved and will be deeply missed by many loving members of her extended family.

She treasured her family and her faith, cherished her community of friends and colleagues, she was an active member of her church, she was a devoted and passionate member of her church choir, and enjoyed her many hobbies (enjoying her sons' sports, dance, puzzles, crosswords, travel, and of course cooking)

While her loved ones and community of friends and colleagues mourn the loss of this tremendous woman, we celebrate in knowing that she is at peace and with the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the charities Bridgette was a board member of: Colon Cancer Coalitions, Minnesota Colon Cancer Research Foundation, and Gilda's Club Minnesota.
