Bruno John Silikowski, 67, passed away on July 14, 2026. He was the son of the late Jozef and Anastacia Silikowski. He is survived by his wife Diane, children Katherine Silikowski, Christine Cohen (Jordan Cohen), William Silikowski (Akansha Silikowski), sibling Olga Bobula, grandchildren Felicity and Rohan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sister Ana Lucia Cotor and brother-in-law Charles Bobula.

Bruno came from humble but loving beginnings. Those early years shaped the values that defined his life - devotion to his family, deep spirituality, and an unwavering work ethic that fueled every passion he pursued.

Bruno’s top priority was always his family. When one of his kids faced a challenge, he always treated it as his own, offering unwavering support in whatever way he could. Many of his favorite memories were formed by family - family vacations, backyard cook-outs where he proudly manned the grill, and time spent with his grandchildren. His granddaughter delighted in decorating his hair, hosting tea parties with him, and playing with his car memorabilia. His 6-month old grandson mesmerized Bruno with his expressive eyes, which stared tenderly into Bruno’s soul at one of their last visits together.

Outside of his family, Bruno’s greatest passion - and loudest priority - was his passion for cars, born from waxing his father’s cars and tinkering with the engines as a preteen. Tired of the eventual loss of car coating from over-waxing, his father gifted Bruno with his first car, a Volkswagen Beatle. Over the next couple decades, Bruno’s growing collection of cars, a desire for more safe storage space and discourse with like-minded enthusiasts sparked his idea for developing a car community, and the Automotorplex was born. This was a grass roots effort completely attributable to Bruno’s sheer tenacity, determination, and work ethic.

Bruno gave to the community through his monthly car events, which were wholesome enough to attract families but also purposeful enough to strengthen the car community he so valued. He used the Automotorplex platform to support causes beyond the automotive community, organizing events for special needs children, the elderly, and charities focused on car care for low-income families.

Bruno’s faith was a quiet but steady foundation throughout his life. A lifelong Catholic, he served in leadership roles in his local church during his children’s elementary school years. He spoke of finding faith through daily prayer and of recognizing God’s hand in even the most difficult moments.

Just as memorable as his faith was his gift for connecting with people. Known throughout the Hennepin Country area simply by his first name, he had an extraordinary ability to remember names, make genuine connections, and leave everyone feeling seen and important.

Bruno will be dearly missed by family, friends and the car community he created, all of whom will continue to carry forward the passion and fellowship he inspired.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Bruno at The Church of Saint Bartholomew, 630 Wayzata Boulevard East, Wayzata, Minnesota on Saturday August 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
