Burton Lindahl Obituary
Lindahl, Burton John Age 82, of Wayzata, passed away peacefully on 22 May 2007. He is loved and will be missed by Delores, his wife of 60 years; children, Dr. Ann M. Lindahl, Beth K. Lindahl-Urben, B. John Lindahl Jr. & wife Sarah, Rev. Dr. Andrew M. Lindahl & wife Janet, Paul J. Lindahl & wife Stacy; grandchildren, Katie, David, Peter, Michael, Gavin, Jacob & Ashton. Burt graduated from Washburn High School and Augsburg College. During WWII, he served in the European Theater as a paratrooper with the 82nd,101st and 517th Airborne Divisions. As a long time Wayzata businessman, Burt was a classic entrepreneur, community volunteer, and business partner with his wife. As a rugged individualist he easily attracted friends of the same ilk. He loved his country, his family, his friends, anything to do with the great outdoors and a good meal. He valued simplicity, integrity, ingenuity and humor. Above all he cherished his family and friends. Although he would have preferred no fuss at all, his family wishes instead to hold a celebration of his life at a Memorial Service to be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, 30 May at Wayzata Community Church. Private Interment Lakewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Wayzata Second Call Fire Department or Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners.
