Carol Bendell Obituary Bendell, Carol L. Age 80, of Plymouth, passed away on June 18, 2024, after a courageous 18-month battle with ovarian cancer. She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Laurie and Hildegard; husband, Bill; brothers, Larry and Loren; sister-in-law, Jan; nephews, Terry, Scott, and many friends. Carol is survived by sons, Todd (Jennifer) and Gib (Kate); daughter, Rebecca (Mark); brother, Wayne (Kathie); nephew, Michael; nieces, Kim (partner Kyle) and Ellie. She will be greatly missed by her partner of 12 years, Jim Absey. Of all her titles, Grammy was her favorite and she made an everlasting impact on her grandchildren Charlie, Quinn, Elsa (Brett), Greta, and Owen (fianc Tabitha). She never missed an opportunity to cheer at their sporting events, applaud their performances, and celebrate their milestones. Carol was raised on a humble farm in Crookston, MN before marrying Bill and launching a successful manufacturing rep firm. Following his death, she continued to run the business as a single mother until her retirement in 1989. Carol treated retirement like a second career and was an active volunteer, taking great joy in coordinating Music in Plymouth, supporting the West Suburban Women's Club, serving with the Boys and Girls of MN, and countless other local organizations. She was fiercely independent, strong, and proud. The family asks memorials to be directed to St. Edwards to purchase trees in her honor. A memorial service will be held at St Edward the Confessor Episcopal Church, 865 N Ferndale Rd, Wayzata, MN 55391 on Monday, July 22, 2024 with a visitation beginning at 1:00PM, a service at 2:00PM, followed by an ice cream social to share in her favorite treat.
