Carol Gay Obituary
Gay, Carol A. age 72, passed away at her home in Minnetonka on October 30, 2005 after an 11 year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her brother, Taylor Fenton and her mother and father, Lewis and Elizabeth Fenton. She is survived by her husband, Roger Gay; son, Michael Gay; daughter, Michelle Rogers (husband Sam); granddaughter, Sarah Rogers; cousins Kitty Doherty (husband Jim) and Warren Ardapple (wife Betty). Carol was raised in Elmhurst, Illinois. She graduated from York High School After graduation she attended Purdue University and received her B.S. in Home Economics. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and on the Senior Board of the Student Union that supervised all social activities for Purdue Students. Carol received a Bachelor's degree in education from Augsburg College. In her professional career, she was a fourth grade teacher. She was a great homemaker, a loving wife, and outstanding mother and a good friend. Carol had a magnetic personality. She was very caring, fun loving person with a great zest for life. She was blessed with an infectious sense of humor and wit. She had a gift for cultivating long lasting relationships with people. In addition she had great common sense & high integrity. During the past eleven years, Carol received wonderful professional care from her doctors and caregivers. A special thank you is extended to Allina Hospice and Palliative Care, Eugene Ollila M.D., Allina Clinics, Horst Zinka M.D. and Ronald Richardson M.D., Mayo Clinic and three angels Judy Starr, Rene Kromrey and Sandy Tazelaar. Carol will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Wayzata Community Church.
