Charles Clay Obituary Clay, Charles Lawrence age 85, of Plymouth, MN, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2006. Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Audrey, birth parents, Edward & Alice Pethybridge; brother, Jack and sister, Nora, all of Carman, Manitoba Canada and adoptive parents Benjamin & Harriet Clay of Chicago, IL. Survived by brother, Joe (Jean) Pethybridge of Carman, Manitoba; sons, Chris Clay of Knife River, MN; Jeff (Kristin) Clay of Golden Valley, MN and daughter, Bonnie (Chuck) Hollenhorst of Deephaven, MN; five adoring grandchildren: Lindsay, Jonathan, Sarah, Hannah and Halle; and many nieces and nephews. Born 8/10/21, Chuck was raised primarily in Chicago, IL and was educated at Wilbur Wright College. He served in the USAF from 19421963 as a Command Pilot and Meteorologist and was stationed at various stateside and foreign bases. He married Audrey Nordstog in 1952 and upon retirement they settled on a farm in Fairmont, MN where he took up farming and real estate sales and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Past President of the Martin County Board of Realtors, and belonged to American Legion Post 36. Chuck will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Private family interment at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church of Plymouth or Alzheimer's Association. David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
