Charles Marvin Jr. Obituary Marvin, Charles ("Charlie") Noell, Jr., age 64, of Wayzata passed away peacefully on October 7, 2018, after fighting cancer for over three years. Born September 25, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, he is preceded in death by mother, Alice Cheek Sanders and brother, William Warwick ("Wick"). Survived by father, Charles ("Chuck"); former spouse, Martha and their children, Nick (Brittany), Alex (Samia), Paige (Ira) Miller; grandchildren, Matthew, Mason, and Alina; brother, Sanders; nephews, Earl, Hayes, and Quinn; and partner of eight years, Mary Harlow. He earned his bachelors degrees from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1977, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity), Medical Doctorate from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (1981, specializing in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery), and worked in private practice for many years. He loved living in and giving back to the community he so cherished, and was deeply involved with Wayzata Rotary Club #2138, Boy Scouts of America, US Army Reserves (Lieutenant Colonel), Wayzata Masonic Lodge #205, the Womens Club of Minneapolis, Skylight Club, and numerous local and professional organizations. Heartfelt appreciation to his providers and caregivers at the Mayo Clinic, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Presbyterian Homes Folkestone, and Fairview Home Care and Hospice. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Saint Marks Episcopal Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove Street in Minneapolis. Charlie will be interred at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
