Chellis C.J. Peterson Obituary Peterson, C.J. (CHELLIS JAMES) (Pete) age 91 of Wayzata, died July 26, 2018 at Good Samaritan Ambassador in New Hope. Preceded in death by parents, Herman and Eileen Peterson and sister, Martha Schroth. C.J. worked as a pharmacist at Teds Wayzata Drug Store and became a partial owner of the store. He graduated from the U of M Pharmacy School in 1950, served as an Army Pharmacist in Korea, and as a pharmacist in Austin, Cannon Falls, Wayzata, Long Lake and Oak Terrace Nursing Home in Glen Lake, MN. Survived by wife, Gervaise (Gerry); son, John C. Peterson (Kristin); daughter, Kristin M. Peterson (Craig Helmstetter) and grandchildren, Anders, Wyatt and Bjorn. Pete was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and a good friend to many. Memorial service 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN 55427 with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred to Calvary Lutheran Church or donors choice.
