Claire Corrigan Obituary Corrigan, Claire (nee Gannon and Yeager) of Wayzata, MN died peacefully at Meridian Manor on Sunday evening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Corrigan (d1992) and leaves behind her wonderful sons, Phillip and Drew; many splendid grandchildren, including Claire, Matthew, Murray Philip, Ian David, Alana, Max, and Kate; several caring nieces and nephews, including, Mary, John, Tina, Peter, Maggie, Hunter, Mathew, Joseph, Berofy, Cocoa, and Rif; along with her loving siblings, John, Jean, Anne and Jane. Claire was born in Hibbing, Minnesota on January 24, 1927 and graduated from St. Mary's of the Woods College in South Bend, Indiana in 1949. Among her other many accomplishments, she was the first licensed woman pilot in Minnesota, and was a social worker for the State of Florida. Most recently, Claire worked tirelessly as a volunteer in Minnesota with Interfaith and Sharing and Caring Hands. After living in Terre Haute, Indiana, and both St. Pete and Naples, Florida, Claire returned to Minnesota in 1989 with her husband Jack and has lived in Wayzata for the past 20 years, near family, friends, and colleagues. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, August 6th from 5-8 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Mass of Christian Burial will be at The Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata on Friday, August 7th at 10 AM, preceded by a visitation starting at 9 AM. Following Mass and church luncheon, interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at 1 PM. Information on the reception following internment will be available at the Thursday evening service.
