Obituary

Claudia Milow Obituary Claudia "Precious" Verla Milow, age 69Claudia Milow of Plymouth, Minnesota died March 25, 2010 at Golden Valley Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born on April 9, 1940 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was raised in Fairmont, Minnesota where she graduated from Fairmont High School. Claudia was an amazing person. Anyone who had the privilege to meet her would tell you that she was the kindest spirit. She spent her days reaching out her hand to anyone in need. This would often take the shape of a kind ear, a good meal, or just being there. When she would enter a room, it would light up from her presence. Her giving nature extended beyond those with whom she was acquainted as she often gave of herself and her talents. This was anything from donating treat bags at Halloween-time for children who were at a womens shelter, to giving massages to her daughters college student friends before exams. Besides the amazing meals that she would make and share, really her best talent was just listening and providing words of comfort. Claudia volunteered her time at many organizations over the years, but probably her most favorite was when she volunteered at C.R.O.W., Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc. located in Sanibel, Florida where Claudia and her husband, Carl, had a winter home. Claudia Milow is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carl Milow of Plymouth, MN, her three children and their spouses, Quinn and Diane Compo Milow of Mound, MN, Chris and Jill Milow of Forest Lake, MN, Robin and Michael Wosje of Virginia Beach, VA, her five grandchildren, Stevee Milow, Jake and Josh Anderson, and Nicholas and Emma Bea Wosje, her brother, Quinn Peterson and his wife, Vera of Osceola, WI, her brother-in-law, Jim Milow and his wife Linda of Corcoran, MN and sister-in-law, Madonna Milow of Fairmont, MN as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many friends with a special mention to those of the First Lutheran Church crowd. Lastly, she is survived by Tigger and Pooh-Bear, her beloved cats. Claudia Milow is predeceased by her parents Rita and Vernie Peterson of Fairmont, MN, her grandmother, Beatrice Koehntopp of Madison, MN, her brother-in-law, Frank Milow of Fairmont, MN and her closest and dearest friend, Nancy Jones of Sanibel, FL. The visitation will be at David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., on March 28, 2010 (Today) from 5:007:00 p.m. Memorial service will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church of Minneapolis, 1900 Nicollet Ave., on March 29, at 10:30 a.m. with a reception following. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all of the trees of the field will clap their hands.Isaiah 55:12
