Clifton Swenson Obituary Swenson, Clifton "Kip" John, age 76 of Remer formerly of Bloomington died March 8, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordy. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth; children, Cindy Hayes and husband Mike, Steve Swenson and wife Karen, Sue Lee and husband Mike; 9 grandchildren; stepmother, Merle Swenson; sisters, Janet Olson and husband Don, JoAnn Fleury and husband Greg; sister-in-law, Marlys Swenson as well as other loving relatives and friends. Funeral service 5 PM Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Bloomington Lutheran Church, 9350 Portland Ave. S., Bloomington with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the church.
