Curtis Anderson Obituary Anderson Curtis A. Anderson of Pequot Lakes and Plymouth, MN passed away on July 28, with his family by his side. His death was due to complications from a stroke he suffered 16 months ago. Curt was born on 2/14/28, in Madison, MN to Lloyd and Olga Anderson. He graduated from Osakis High School in 1946. Served in the US Navy for 2 years. Graduated from St. Cloud State in 1952, Masters degree from the U of M in 1960. He married Patricia (Crose) Anderson, of St. Cloud, in 1953. Curt taught elementary education at Cobb Cook School in Hibbing, for 2 years, at Harley Hopkins elementary for 7 years and then in 1961 moved to Wayzata to be elementary principal at Oakwood School for 19 years, Beacon Heights, 2 years and Birchview, 2 years. He retired in 1984. He and his wife, Pat, traveled, golfed, and enjoyed their lake home on the Whitefish Chain and their grandchildren. Curt was on the board of directors of Whitefish Golf course for 7 years. He was a deacon and charter member of Plymouth Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pat; sons, Scott (Nancy), Maple Grove, Bruce (Becky), Maple Plain; daughter, Sue (Ken) Iverson, Plymouth; grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Julie and Zachary Anderson, Caitlin, Kenneth Curtis (K.C.) Iverson, Sarah; brother-in-law, Robert (Laverne) Crose, Elk River, and several nieces and nephews. At Curt's request, he will be cremated and there will be a private memorial service at Plymouth Presbyterian Church. Friends and relatives may meet the family members at a visitation gathering at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd on Sunday, July 31 from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to: Wayzata Public Schools Education Foundation or the music program at Plymouth Presbyterian Church.
