Obituary

Cynthia Koehler Obituary It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Cynthia Ann Koehler on 11/17/23. Cindy was born 9/5/50 to William and Anita Koehler. Cindy was a loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt and cousin. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Cindy adored the color pink, horseback riding, jewelry, babies and swimming in the lake. She especially loved spending time with her sister Nancy and her dogs , her three wonderful nephews and she was her sister Janes biggest fan ("Jane Skate!"). Her annual time at Camp Friendship for over 30 years was the highlight of her summer crafts, boat riding and swimming. The best part of her year, however was Christmas. She participated in the annual Christmas pageant with Christ for People as an angel and loved singing loudly in the front row. She embraced every sparkle, the twinkling lights on the trees, the singing of the carols but most importantly Santa. There was no greater delight in her face than when Santa appeared at the annual Christmas party. You could hear her shrieks of laughter and sheer wonderment of seeing Santa and getting a hug. That sense of wonder was what Cindy shared with all she knew. Though Cindy faced challenges in her life, she touched everyone she met with her joy of life, her sweet smile and loving heart. She was the light of our world. She was pre-deceased by her mother, father and step-mother Thelma. She is survived by her two sisters Nancy and Jane, three nephews Greg, Michael (Catherine) and Kevin, a great nephew Jack , her Aunt Peggy plus her cousins Chris, Carol, Mark, Richard, Scott and many family members. She leaves a sister of our heart April and all the staff at her group home who loved her unconditionally. The void she leaves will never be filled.
