Daniel 'Dan' Paustis Jr. Obituary Paustis, Daniel Joseph Jr. passed away on April 22, 2022 at the age of 67 while in hospice in Florida. He lost his almost two year battle with pancreatic cancer. Dan was born in Chicago, IL on December 2, 1954. His family moved to Golden Valley when he was quite young. He graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1973 and went to North Hennepin for about two years. Dan went on to work for the family business, Paustis Wine Company in his early twenties until his passing. Dan met Lisa in 1976 and they were married three years later on June 30, 1979. They had three children, Brianna, Jennifer and Bryce. Sadly Jennifer passed on December 20, 2020. Dan is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lisa Paustis; daughter, Brianna Paustis Johnson (Ryan) and their children, Madeline, Owen, Wyatt and Scarlett and Ryans daughter, Haley; son, Bryce Paustis (Aby) and their daughter, Brynne; brother, Bill Paustis (Mary) and their daughter, Kelsey; mother-in-law, Marilyn Blacker; brother-in-law, Brandon Blacker (Stine) and their children, Emma and Liam; sister-in-law, Renee Nord (Kenny) and their daughter, Grace; brother-in-law, Chris Blacker (Kristen) and their sons, Jack and Max. Preceded in death by parents, Dan Sr. and Gloria Paustis; in-laws, Theonne and Harry Bittenbender; father-in-law, Robert Blacker. Dan was a force to be reckoned with. He was passionate for his family, "Family comes first." He loved his time in Florida with family and friends. Dan also loved sports and played softball and volleyball for many years. He had a soft spot for the Gophers and Vikings "maybe a Super Bowl on day!" Dans Celebration of Life will be held at Boondox, 9100 Park Avenue NE, Otsego, Saturday, December 3rd at 1:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Buffalo next to our daughter, Jennifer.
