Daniel Ronning Obituary Age 94 of Plymouth, MN. Our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away November 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Dan was a Renaissance man. He was as comfortable on a trout stream as he was directing a church choir. He was a man of great faith, intellect, curiosity and kindness. He lived his faith every moment of every day. He had a wide range of interests including theology, classical and sacred music, pipe organs, choirs, wilderness camping, canoeing, fly fishing, world travel, Native American culture, and wood carving, His greatest joy was his family. He was the most loving and devoted of fathers, a gentle and kind teacher to the end. He and his wife Ila had been married for 70 years and were still in love. Survived by wife Ila; son, Bryan (Nancee) Ronning; daughter, Beth (Carl) Swaggert; grandchildren, Jake, Leah, Matt, Peter and Anna; great-grandchildren Logan and Claire. Memorial service Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Oak Knoll Lutheran Church, 600 Hopkins Crossroad, Mtka. Visitation at 12:30 and service at 1:30 at the church.
