David Hedican Obituary Hedican, David D. age 98 of Wayzata passed away on January 4, 2014, at Augustana Chapel View Care Center in Hopkins. Dave was born September 8, 1915 to Pat and Mary Ann (Doherty) Hedican. He was a founding member of the Wayzata Rotary. Dave was a WWII veteran and a 66 year member of the American Legion Post 118, serving as Post Commander three times. He met the love of his life, Shirley Braden of Wayzata and married on June 28, 1947. They shared 47 wonderful years together before Shirley passed away on May 26, 1994. Dave is survived by daughters, Kathryn FitzGerald (Ken), Colleen Miles (Michael) and Karen Hawker (Dan); son, Timothy Hedican (Danette); 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son-in-law, Michael Miles; his parents, 9 siblings and several nieces and nephews. We love you Dad, rest in peace and say hi to Mom. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Visitation 5-7 PM Friday at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata and one hour prior to Mass at church on Saturday. Interment Summit Park Cemetery, Wayzata. Memorials may be directed to the Wayzata American Legion.
