David Werts Obituary Werts, David L. Age 57, of Plymouth, died on December 30, 2006 after a valiant 20 month fight against a brain tumor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth M. and Robert W. Werts. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; sons, Peter and Tim; sister, Gretchen Overdurff; nieces, Kristen Overdurff, Leigh (Kevin) Ruedisueli; great nephews, Jimmy and Tommy Ruedisueli; and aunt, Mary Kaveny. David was a graduate of Penn State University and was employed at Three Rivers Park District for 35 years in human resource management. He was an instructor with the Blizzard Ski School for the past 16 years and past Commodore of Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club, Cubmaster with pack 283 and Assistant Scout Master with troop 283. He loved boating, fishing, skiing, woodworking and camping with his family. Visitation, Friday, January 5, from 5-8 PM at David Lee Funeral Home. Graveside service 11:30 AM Saturday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Eden Prairie. Memorial Service Saturday, 4 PM at Wayzata Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Brain Tumor Association, Wayzata Community Church, Boy Scout Troop 283, Northern Star Council or to Three Rivers Park District.
