Donald Gibbons Obituary Gibbons, Donald Don Age 83 of Wayzata, MN passed away on February 26, 2014. Preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Gibbons; daughter, Cindy Gibbons and sister, Helen Baumgarten. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Gibbons & husband Rex Rundquist, Colleen Quinn & husband Tom; grandchildren, Connor & Cindy Quinn; his sisters, Maxine Whalen, Lorraine (Skip) Morabito and Dorothy Washle as well as other loving relatives and friends. Don grew up in the small town of Comfrey, MN, where he graduated from High School. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and started his career in the Sales of Heavy Construction Equipment, eventually starting his own business. Don moved his family to the Chicago Area early in his career and raised their 3 girls there. Dons passion was golf and spending time at Gull Lake. Don was able to focus on family, friends and his golf game in his retirement in both Minnesota and Florida. Funeral Service 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue S., Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior to service. Private Entombment Lakewood Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Reception to follow at another location.
