Donald Painter Obituary Painter, Donald Merland, age 73, of Wayzata, MN went to be with the Lord, and joined his loving parents Donald R. and Doris E. Painter, on September 9, 2014. Donald was born on October 28, 1940, and spent most of his life in the Maple Plain community. Donald retired from Prudential Life Insurance Company with many friendships after having worked for the company his entire career. He was a kind and generous friend to his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David. He is survived by sister, Kathleen Painter of Miramar Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Lorraine Painter of Mound, niece Teresa and husband Chad Vollbrecht, and nephews Adam and wife Shannan Painter and Jason McCoy; one grandniece, five grand nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation 4-7 PM Friday September 12, 2014 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. We will commemorate Donalds life on Saturday, September 13, 2014 11 AM at Maple Plain Community Church, 1815 Budd Ave., Maple Plain with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
