Donna Easthouse Obituary
Easthouse, Donna Jean (Randolph) age 79, of Mound, passed away from Paraneoplastic Cerebeller Degeneration on May 16, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Donald Randolph, Margaret Rennie and husband of 55 years, Douglas Easthouse. Survived by daughters, Holly Schluter and husband John, Candy Anderson and husband Al; grandchildren, Sara Broghamer (Jared), Mitch and Taylor Schluter, Dausyn and Cody Anderson; sister, Toni Schnebly (Steve); brother, Jim Rennie (Laura); nephews, Colin and Shawn Schnebly; and also Merritt Geyen who has always been like a daughter. Donna was born in Minneapolis on February 4, 1931. She grew up on Island Park in Mound, graduated from Mound High School in 1949, worked at Investors Diversified Services, and assisted Dr. Kolstad in his dental practice in Wayzata until marrying Doug in 1953 becoming a Navy wife in Key West, Florida. She then moved back to Island Park in 1955 where she then became a homemaker. Donna was a people person; she was a friend to everyone. She loved to laugh, go out to dinner with friends, and entertain at her home that she furnished completely with antiques she had picked up at sales throughout the years. In her early years she volunteered with the Foreign Exchange Program (AFS) and in her later years she was a major volunteer for The Gillespie Center. Donna's greatest accomplishment was being an OUTSTANDING wife, mom, and grandma. Many thanks to North Memorial Hospice, Dr. Dong from Mpls Clinic of Neurology, and Dr. Colson from North Clinic. Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2451 Fairview Lane in Mound on Friday, May 21 at 4:00 PM with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Fairview Cemetery. Reception following aboard Al & Alma's Bella Vista in Mound. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to North Memorial Hospital Hospice.
