Dorothy Reader Obituary
Reader, Dorothy (nee Bournique) age 84, of Plymouth, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by loving family on January 16, 2008 at Hillcrest of Wayzata after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Dorothy was born in Closter, New Jersey on June 4, 1923 and moved to St. Paul in 1947 after her marriage to her loving husband Mark. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Marcel and Agnes Bournique; infant brother, Edmund Bournique and sister, Anne Haws. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Mark; her children, Steve (Marci) of Lakeville, Paul (Amy) of Maplewood, Martha (Jeff) Weber of Lake Zurich, Illinois, David (Angie) of Plymouth; grandchildren, Jessi, Matthew, Amanda, Mark and Caleb; great- granddaughter, Kylie; sister, Jeanette Van Zandt of Lakewood, New Jersey; as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Dorothy was a long- time member of the Church of St. Bartholomew where she contributed many hours of volunteer work for both the school and church. She also was a Meals on Wheels driver for numerous years and dedicated her time to other community affairs as well. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday, January 21, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus in Medina, 155 County Road 24. Visitation 5-7 PM Sunday (TODAY) at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., and also one hour prior to mass at church. Interment Holy Name Cemetery.
