Dorothy Schmechel Obituary Schmechel, Dorothy M. passed away Tuesday, February 27, at her home in Minnetonka at the age of 85. Preceded in death by her parents, brother, and her husband Walter. She was a resident of Minnetonka Assisted Living Community. She was a kind and gentle mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her spirit lives in the hearts of those who knew her. Survived by daughters, Jennine Schmechel, Janice (Mark) Fuller, Janel (John) McGreevy; and son, Jay (Karen) Schmechel; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
