Duane Bush Obituary Bush, Duane Myron Age 83, of Plymouth, MN passed away February 26, 2019. Loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth; parents, James and Ruth Bush of International Falls, MN and sister, Marian Bush of International Falls, MN. Survived by sister, Sharon Backlund of International Falls, MN; daughter, Barbara (Michael) Johnson; son, Robert (Kim) Bush; and two grandsons, Mason and Spencer Bush. Upon graduation from International Falls High School in 1953, Duane enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for four years. Duane became a Christian in a local town church and claimed that this is when his whole life took a turn for the good. Duane and Ann were members of Crystal Evangelical Free Church. Both he and Ann were very active and he was in charge of the audio visual. He was a very religious man and projected that through his family. Duane graduated from the University of Minnesota with a teaching degree in industrial arts in 1961. Duane was an industrial arts teacher at Hosterman Junior High School in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Later in his life he was employed with Rosemount Inc. in Eden Prairie, MN. He was an Evaluation Lab Technician where he did electronic testing on airplane parts in temperature ovens and vibration chambers. He retired in the mid-late 1990s. At a young age, Duane liked to fish, play hockey and loved to bowl. Later in his life took up the game of golf. He was a youth hockey coach. Love to watch all types of sports, especially hockey and golf. He also liked to ride his bike and feed the ducks around Lakes Harriet & Calhoun as well as playing board games, watching television, especially game shows. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata with visitation beginning at 9:30. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
