Edwin Stephenson III Obituary With great sadness we mourn the loss of Edwin Stephenson who died on April 14, 2024, more than one year after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Edwin died at the age of 55, trusting in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection. Edwin Lawrence Stephenson III was the son of Edwin L. Stephenson Jr. and Gail Brock Stephenson. He was born in Birmingham, AL, and grew up in Dothan, AL. He attended the University of Montevallo for two years where he met his future wife, Tracey Ann Grigsby. He later transferred to Auburn University where he received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power System Engineering. He worked for OSI for 25 years, as an engineer, manager, and vice president. Edwin was married to Tracey in December 1990. Together they raised five children. Edwin could be found enjoying as much time with his family as possible: sharing conversations, playing sports, listening to his childrens music, boating, and fishing. He was an officer in the Presbyterian Church in America at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon until 2012 and then as an elder until his death. Edwin is survived by his wife Tracey, his children, David (Sarah, Eleanor, Madeline), Anna (John Love, Edmund), James (Elizabeth), John (fianc: Tabitha Verhage), and Daniel. He is also survived by his mother, Gail Brock Stephenson, and his sister Amy (Andrew Spear). Edwin was preceded in death by his father, Edwin (Ed) Stephenson Jr., grandparents Edwin and Frances McGarity Stephenson and Charles Burt and LaVonne Brock, and eight babies born to heaven. Edwins funeral will be this Thursday, 4/18/2024, at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church (15321 Wayzata Blvd, Minnetonka, MN 55391).
