Elaine Doreen Mueller of Independence, MN, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026 at the age of 84 at Haven Homes in Maple Plain, MN.

Elaine was born on December 21, 1941, to Friendly and Deliah Wentland in Jamestown, ND. After graduating from Union College in Lincoln, NE, with a degree in Education, she worked as a teacher at Anoka Seventh-day Adventist School. She married Leroy Lauren Mueller and together they shared many wonderful years.

Elaine loved painting, gardening, and crafts, and was known for her caring heart and helping others. She is survived by her daughter, Garlinda Mueller, granddaughter Ashley Mueller, and grandson Tye Fischer, and is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant son.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at the Minnetonka Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3510 Williston Rd, Minnetonka, MN, followed by light refreshments.

Interment immediately follows at the Lewis Cemetery in Maple Plain, MN.
