Elizabeth "Bette" Mae Hanson, 87, of Plymouth, MN, passed away on February 9, 2026.

Bette was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Hanson; her sister, Sonja Redetzke (and her husband David); and her grandson, Timothy Brown.

Bette is survived by her daughter, Kirsten Brown (husband Mitch); her sister, Karen Chizek (husband Roger); her grandsons, Jacob Brown (wife Kari), and Matthew Brown; two great-grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.

Bette was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and grew up in Fargo, North Dakota. She lived in Plymouth, Minnesota the last several years. She worked at Hartford Insurance for over 20 years, and enjoyed a long retirement.

Bette was an avid traveler, and she especially enjoyed visiting lighthouses. She also enjoyed being a volunteer for the Plymouth Community Center. She was a fickle, but loving fan of the Minnesota Twins. Her family and friends were very precious to her.

Memorial service will be held at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, MN 55391, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour before.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the ASPCA would be appreciated.
