Elizabeth Bohart Obituary Elizabeth Oberhauser Bohart, 59, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on July 5, 2025, in Cambridge, MA. Born June 17, 1966, in Minnesota, Liz was the adoring mother of Zachary Bohart, 22, who is studying aviation, and Olivia Bohart, 20, a student of data science and criminal justice. Liz graduated from Mound, MN High School and at Colorado State University earned a Bachelors in Economics, a Masters in Human Anatomy/Physiology, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Liz will be remembered for her intelligence, verve, energy, athleticism, adventurous spirit, and her love of animals. From a young age Liz was active in 4H, training and showing dogs with dedication and success. Her special affection for Golden Retrievers led her into breeding. One of her proudest achievements was showing her Golden Retriever, Lucy, at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 2014. She was an accomplished endurance athlete, competing as runner and triathlete in events around the world including Paris, Napa Valley, and Puerto Rico. At home, Liz enjoyed interior decoration and kept an immaculate household, even with a lot of dogs around. In addition to her children she leaves her father, Louis Oberhauser of Medina MN; mother, Kathleen Ziegler (Jack) of The Villages, FL; sister, Laurie Helgeson (Chris) of Lake Norman, NC; brother, Christopher Oberhauser (Donna) of Wayzata, MN, and brother, Paul Oberhauser (Jennifer) and cherished nephews Gavin and CJ Oberhauser, of Cambridge, MA. On Friday, August 22, visitation will be held at 10:00 am and Mass at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake, Mound, MN. Contributions in her memory may be made to a local animal shelter or the Golden Retriever Foundation.
