Elizabeth Powers Obituary Elizabeth Marie Powers (Johnson) passed away on April 16, 2023 in her home in Wayzata, MN. Elizabeth was born on March 27, 1930 in Peoria, Illinois. Along with her husband, Odell Eugene Powers, Elizabeth left Illinois and raised her family in multiple locations including Japan, Belgium, Minnesota and Arizona. She was an avid reader and always had a book suggestion that was engaging. She loved entertaining her friends, challenging her kids to a game of Scrabble, setting a beautiful table, playing bridge with her special "bridge buddies" and visiting gardens in every city . She energized everyone to continue learning something new each day. Her favorite send- off was "Make it a good day!". One of her many talents was that she was actively interested in others. She knew just the right questions to ask and made everyone feel heard. When she passed away, she knew that she was loved by so many. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Mark Powers (Terri), Kristin Rover (Kevin dec) , Julianne Fallert (Michael) and Elizabeth Powers- Dempsey (John) and grandchildren; Sarah (Jeremy Haynes) and Rachel Powers, Thomas and Michael Rover, Carolyn (Chris Taylor), Natalie and Nicole Fallert and Jackson Dempsey as well as two great grandchildren; Marlowe and Cole. She is predeceased by her husband, Odell E. Powers. As per her request, a private ceremony will be held at Lakewood Cemetery in the summer of 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations, in her name, can be made to the American Cancer Society Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia.
