Ethel Sparks Obituary Sparks, Ethel Ilene (Larson), was born November 22, 1918 in Cosmos, Minnesota. She passed away at age 94 on December 5, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Esther Larson; husband Robert Sparks; sister, Doris Phelps and twin sister Edythe Olson. Survived by sister, Shirley Huskins, nieces and nephews, Nancy Farmer (David), Michele Grosser (Kent), Deborah Huskins (Alex), Charles Huskins (Diana), Pat Nash (Peter) and Judy Schlingman (Fred) as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews. After graduating from Minneapolis Business College, her career involved working in Washington DC, Germany, Hawaii and Texas for Air Transport Command during WWII and many years thereafter. She returned to the Minneapolis area in the 1960s and worked at the Federal Government Office in government contracting at Fort Snelling until retirement. For the past seven years Ethel has been a resident at Pioneer Estates of Eden Prairie where she was lovingly cared for by the staff. Ethel loved music, dancing and making people laugh. She will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. Memorial service 11AM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Private family burial in Cosmos, Minnesota.
