Obituary

Eugene Podzimek Obituary Podzimek, Eugene Earl (1931-2012) Staff Sergeant United States Air Force, Korean War (1950-1953). Longtime resident of Wayzata, Minnesota. Founder and 25-year owner of Village Meats in Wayzata, along with Mississippi Riverwood Campers' Resort in Elk River. Proud father of 4 children, along with 4 grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Brian (1982), and daughter, Frances (2007). Survived by brother, Bill; former wife, Jean; along with sons, Mark (Debbie), Dan (Janice); son-in-law, Keith (Frances) Stangler and former daughter-in-law, Cheri Beranek; along with grand- children, Tori, Andrew, Tanner, and Rebecca, along with many nieces and nephews. Died on Tuesday, October 9th following a long battle with Lung Fibrosis. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15th from 5 pm to 8 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 16th at 11 am at the Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata. Interment will follow at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
